Darren Cooper, Clinical Environmental Health, Hospital Housekeeping – June

Cooper has been a member of the Hershey Medical Center team since 2021. His nominators say he demonstrates an unwavering commitment to creating a positive patient experience and striving to improve efficiency in patient placement. They say his strong emphasis on teamwork has set him apart. He is known for his unwavering respect for both colleagues and patients, consistently displaying kindness and friendliness. Cooper’s communication skills ensure that tasks are completed promptly, colleagues say, and he proactively seeks opportunities to assist others. They also say he goes above and beyond in his work, ensuring that patient rooms are thoroughly cleaned.

Jasmine Tyler, patient care assistant, Trauma Surgical – July

Tyler plays a vital role in supporting colleagues and delivering care to patients, according to her nominators. Her trauma surgical position requires a blend of technical, interpersonal and organizational skills. She is recognized for using both empathy and professionalism in her communication with patients, families and colleagues. Colleagues say Tyler is attuned to signs of distress or discomfort in patients, assisting with feeding, bathing or walking and consistently prioritizing patients’ safety and well-being. With a proactive approach, she eagerly embraces learning opportunities and effectively tackles problems, say her nominators.

Amber Cramer, administrative associate, Nursing Administration – August

Cramer’s colleagues say she has an outstanding work ethic and demonstrates a strong sense of pride and ownership in her responsibilities. Using critical-thinking skills, she tackles challenges and drives work forward. This year, Cramer took charge of planning the Hershey Medical Center Food Truck Friday events, carefully selecting and securing top-notch vendors, handling event advertising and ensuring overall employee satisfaction. Her work on the event was highly organized, her colleagues said, playing a pivotal role in making the event a success. Cramer also uses her organizational skills in Teams to effectively support members of the Department of Nursing.

Alison Siegfried, medical office associate, Anesthesia Practice Management Clinic – September

Siegfried’s colleagues say she’s a highly valuable member of their team, bringing an extensive knowledge that enables her to adapt seamlessly to changes and shifting priorities, make well-informed decisions and identify opportunities to enhance productivity. Siegfried’s composed and approachable demeanor, coupled with her creative touch, allows her to infuse the workplace with a sense of fun and excitement, say her nominators. She decorates office, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for patients. Additionally, Siegfried is proactive in prioritizing patients’ needs and remains calm in emergency situations.
